Bristol Law Centre is a charity offering free signposting/referrals, legal advice and representation (advocacy) to some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable in our communities. We work in Bristol and the wider region, including the entire South West of England for some services. We deliver vital and free legal support, often where no other option of similar services exist. We work to achieve incredible outcomes for local people.
The Bristol Law Centre’s biggest asset is undoubtedly the staff who are driven to achieve real change. Whilst our teams are specialist across broad areas of social welfare law, they are also small in size. Given our biggest challenge is meeting demand, we recognise we must grow (working with partners and funders) in order to help more people in need.
We have undergone some internal changes in the last few years and the Law Centre now enters a key phase of responding to the needs of our communities by increasing our capacity, widening our services & relationships, and developing our staff team.
This is a new post, increasing Management team capacity, to enable that response with a focus on embedding changes and increasing capacity for effective people management. The postholder will manage and ensure the continued high quality of our advice services.
