I do believe the tenancy information project has supported those tenants who have experienced difficulties in the private renting sector. Some of those we see may be relatively new to the country and therefore not very aware of their rights and responsibilities. Others may face additional challenges and struggle when it comes to communicating with their landlords. I think the projects acts as a solid first point of contact to help deal with many of the worries or queries tenants may have and if need be, the case can be escalated to the housing team in the centre.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on the project. It has been very rewarding putting some of the knowledge I have learnt through my degree into practice towards such a worthwhile cause. In addition, It has enabled me to learn and explore aspects of this area of law in more detail which has been very valuable. I feel I have grown in confidence and developed my interpersonal skills, having clients of a variety of ages and backgrounds. I believe my confidence and enthusiasm for practising law is only going to continue through working with this project and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity.
