Bristol Law Centre as a long history as a charity providing free legal advice and casework in specialist areas of social welfare law, also representing clients in court. We help over 1,500 people a year access the justice system thanks to funders, supporters, and committed staff and volunteers. We also help more than 3,000 enquirers, offer legal consultancy and training, and work with others to push for changes to public policy that promote equality and justice.
We are now looking for people to complement the existing governance tea, with experience in the following areas:
We are keen to hear from people from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. We particularly welcome applications from Black & global majority people, disabled people and LGBTQ+ people, as we strive to ensure our Board is more representative of the communities we serve.
