Trustees

Closing date: Friday, 09th January 2026

We’re looking for new trustees – could you be one of them?

Could you use your life experience and professional skills to make a real difference social justice and to people accessing advice within Bristol?

Could joining our Board of Trustees be your next challenge, helping you build your skills and knowledge?

Bristol Law Centre is a charity with a long history of providing free legal advice and casework in specialist areas of social welfare law, also representing clients in court. We help over 1,500 people a year access the justice system thanks to funders, supporters, and committed staff and volunteers. We also help more than 3,000 enquirers, offer legal consultancy and training, and work with others to push for changes to public policy that promote equality and justice.

We are now looking for people to complement the existing governance team, with experience in the following areas:

  • Financial Management
  • HR and Employment
  • Risk and Compliance
  • Cyber Security

We are keen to hear from people from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. We particularly welcome applications from Black & global majority people, disabled people and LGBTQ+ people, as we strive to ensure our Board is representative of the people we serve.
