Advocacy Volunteer; Legal Advocacy Support Project (LASP)

Closing date: Thursday, 24th October 2024

Volunteer law students work with the Benefits team to run appeals to the First-tier Tribunal against decisions on disability and sickness benefits. This allows many people who have no statutory right to representation to exercise their right to challenge decisions made about them.

We require ‘LASP’ volunteers to complete a 4-hour session per week for 40 out of the first 52 weeks of starting on the project in order to ensure clients receive continuity and support which is paramount to the success of the project. For the same reason we require volunteers to be available for 12 out of the 18 weeks from June to September 2025.

Application Details: If you would like to apply for this role, please return your completed application form via email to mail@bristollawcentre.org.uk by 5pm on 24th October.
