We are founding members of the West of England Pro Bono Committee – Pro Bono Committees of England & Wales (formerly the Bristol Pro Bono Group), which brings together law firms, charity legal advice services and universities to collaborate and make a difference to local communities.
Our volunteer lawyers who work Pro Bono for our Law Clinic are a mix of Solicitors, Barristers and Chartered Legal Executives and include representatives from the following firms and chambers:
Albion Chambers, ARAG Legal, Avon & Somerset Family Law, Bevan Brittan, Burges Salmon, Harbour Family Law, Henriques Griffiths, Powells Law, Osborne Clarke, Simmons & Simmons, Temple Bright, TLT, VWV, Wards (Weston-Super-Mare), Watkins
Our volunteer law students work with the Welfare/Benefits team in our Legal Advocacy Support Project. The students help to run appeals to the DWP First-tier Tribunal for client seeking to challenge a decision about their Personal Independence Payment.
